Description Unit Description:
The 6th floor at Ahuja Medical Center is a beautiful, newly constructed medical surgical telemetry unit with 36 single-occupancy rooms.
This unit primarily cares for patients with general medical/surgical needs such as acute CHF exacerbation, CVA, Sepsis, and general surgery.
This unit has a 1:
5 nurse to patient ratio for days and a 1:
6 ratio for night shift.
This unit is the designated Stroke Unit for Ahuja Medical Center.
Position Description:
Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
Dimensions are:

Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.

Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
3.
Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.

Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes 6.
Displays the mission of the hospital and its values.
