Commercial Plastics seeks a full-time Automation Technician on 3rd Shift for our manufacturing facility in Waverly, NE. We are experiencing a tremendous amount of growth in our Waverly, NE Facility. 3rd Shift Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 11:45pm-8:00am

Essential duties and responsibilities of the Automation Technician can include, but are not limited to tending one or more automated press/assembly lines, special purpose machines, or industrial robots to mold workpieces to specifications on production basis by performing the following duties:

Starts machine, engages feed, and observes operation.
Inspects and measures machines product to verify conformance to specifications.
Moves machine controls and guides to adjust machine.
Replaces worn machine accessories such as controls or switches.
Cleans press, molds and parts.
Tends support equipment other than molding press and mold.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment following safety procedures and policies.
Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Assists in directing the Automation and Assembly Operators. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing product complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

1-3 years related experience and/or training.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral, diagram, or schedule form.
