Job Details A nursing position is available in a high flow unit with frequent admissions, transfers, and discharges.
The unit seeks positive nurses willing to work with others as a team to overcome challenges.
Job Requirements Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
RNs are required to titrate drips.
Charge Nurse responsibilities include having an assignment.
Nurse aids/patient care techs duties and ratios are specified.
RNs must be able to read and interpret telemetry.
Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling: 0630-1900, 1830-0700 for 6-week scheduling periods.
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.
Holiday Requirements: Will rotate with permanent staff.
Floating requirements include Med/Surg and all areas in the hospital depending on abilities.
Unit Specific Information 28 beds in the unit.
Nurse to patient ratio: 1:04
Specialty equipment available: Code Carts, LUCAS Machines, hoyer lift, Sit and Stand
Additional Details Common diagnoses/Types of patients include adults from the ER, Mixed Medical/Surgical, cardiac, and stroke patients.
Common titratable &/or set rate drips include Heparin, octreotide, insulin, etc.
A Charge Nurse is present on each shift.
Tele/Monitor Techs are present on the unit.
Scrub Color/Dress code: Navy Blue
