Your Role:

As a Shift Lead, you will be essential to our mission of becoming the friendliest and cleanest travel center chain in the United States. Your focus will be on delighting our guests by ensuring a clean, inviting, and well-stocked store, while delivering top-notch customer service.

Your Responsibilities:

Warm Welcome: Greet every guest with a smile, expressing gratitude for their business.
Store Walks: Conduct daily walks through the store to identify opportunities for improvement and develop action plans.
Team Support: Provide guidance and direction to team members throughout the shift.
Cash Management: Accurately operate the point-of-sale cash register.
Facilitate Meetings: Lead pre-shift meetings and actively engage in scheduled team discussions.
Vendor Check-Ins: Manage vendor arrivals and sign for gas/diesel deliveries.
Merchandise Displays: Plan and create eye-catching merchandise displays that enhance the shopping experience.
Restocking: Ensure shelves, deli bars, coolers, and freezers are fully stocked and organized.
Maintain Cleanliness: Help keep the store safe and clean by emptying trash containers, cleaning restrooms and showers, and tidying outdoor areas.
Order Supplies: Order necessary merchandise and supplies to keep the store well-stocked.
Customer Resolution: Address customer concerns with a commitment to five-star service and urgency.
Inventory Assistance: Support the monthly inventory process.
Staff Scheduling: Assist with staff scheduling and resolve any last-minute staffing needs.
QSR Support: Help manage QSR programs to ensure proper coverage during peak times, including operating registers when needed.
Maintenance Oversight: Collaborate with the janitorial team to uphold cleanliness and safety standards, ensuring adequate coverage on shifts.

Key Qualifications:

Supervisory Experience: Preferred but not required.
Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills are a must.
Learning Mindset: A willingness and ability to learn quickly.
Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Background Check: Willingness to undergo a criminal background and employment reference check.
