Business Development Representatives are responsible for identifying and developing new client business within a region or area and cultivating relationships with partners and clients. This position will partner with Operations and Marketing on proposals and community relations activities to achieve business development and sales goals. In addition, this position will develop and implement strategic client solutions plans for geographic and vertical market sectors, and lead partnerships that support achieving sales goals and objectives. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision, and values of JE Dunn.

• Performs active business development, marketing, and public relations activities in support of business goals.
• Researches, qualifies, and prioritizes potential customers.
• Coordinates and oversees maintenance of records and reports concerning client contacts and scheduled client solutions activities.
• Prepares, presents, and executes client solutions action plans for specific targets.
• Helps develop new business, sales, and client relations for defined markets.
• Helps with the development of proposals, presentations, and other client communications.
• Provides planning help to prospective and current clients prior to contract execution.
• Serves as a company representative on civic, business, charitable and professional organizations.
• Exhibits exemplary leadership skills and professional acumen.

• Creating and implementing strategic marketing plans for assigned areas.
• Building and maintaining a professional network and actively engaging in that network.
• Preparing and presenting monthly marketing reports to designated executives.
• Manages the development of proposals, presentations, and other client communications.
• Partners with operations teams to plan, create presentations, and execute capture plans on pursuits or to business partners and community organizations.
• Creates strategic relationships and partnerships with internal and external groups to position JE Dunn and leverage existing and new services.
• Provides leadership to operations team to prepare and execute successful interviews.
• Leads the client relationship development, including ownership of client relationship in partnership with other key team members.
• Prepares interview teams with key message points, supporting visual documents, and content delivery strategies.
• Always presents a positive disposition and maintains constructive interpersonal relationships when under stress.
• Research competitors' value propositions by gathering, analyzing, and acting on market intelligence.
• Challenges conventional thinking, solves problems, and develops creative solutions to assist clients fulfill their mission.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction science, marketing, management or related field (Required)
• In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

• 4+ years marketing and/or business development experience in the building industry or related experience (Preferred)
• 4+ years people management experience (Preferred)
• Experience with Nebraska and Iowa market sector (Preferred)

• Valid and unrestricted drivers license required
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
• Typically travel is not required
