Job Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers compassionate nursing care to residents in long-term care settings, under the guidance of registered nurses, advanced practice providers, or physicians. This role requires a thorough knowledge of nursing principles to ensure the health, comfort, and safety of all residents.
The LPN is responsible for assessing residents, administering medications, providing technical support, documenting care outcomes, and fostering strong working relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and families. You will assist in creating individualized care plans, educating residents and their families, and addressing any emergent situations that may arise.
Qualifications
You should be a graduate from an accredited practical nursing program, holding an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. While an Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred, it is crucial to possess IV therapy skills if required. Additionally, past clinical experience across varied age groups is essential, with a minimum of 400 hours as an LPN at another facility.
A successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to maintaining required competencies and completing annual continuing education units (CEUs).
