Responsibilities:

The Dining Services Director supervises the food service program at a single site, ensuring top-notch food quality, effective inventory management, food safety, and outstanding customer service. This role involves compliance with facility menus and adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as HCSG policies to provide first-rate dining services.

Lead and support the dining services team to uphold quality and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment while utilizing HCSG software.
Conduct staff training, quality control measures, and in-service sessions; take on roles of dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as needed.
Effectively communicate directives from client managers and administrators to HCSG staff.
Utilize protective gear, ensure proper cleaning procedures, and promptly report equipment needs or malfunctions.
Adhere to infection control measures, universal precautions, and handwashing protocols to ensure a sanitary environment.
Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality while completing tasks in a timely manner.
Represent HCSG positively through respectful and cooperative interactions with supervisors, co-workers, client staff, residents, and guests.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality, including relevant coursework preferred.
Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification preferred (or as required by state and county law).
Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within the first 14 days of employment.
Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within the first 60 days of employment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Maintain a positive attitude and effective communication with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies is required.
Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform routine tasks continuously.
Basic computer skills needed for record maintenance and report completion, including web-based reporting.
Residency within the service area is required.
