Job Posting Information

We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Advanced Cost and Capital Accountant (Accountant II) to join the Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) team-the largest department in the City of Lincoln. If you have a strong background in cost accounting, capital management, and financial analysis, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do:

Analyze financial data and prepare audited financial statements.
Conduct internal and external audits.
Assist in optimizing costs and capital investments.
Prepare financial footnotes for LTU's Annual Financial Reporting.
Support the preparation of LTU's annual operating and capital budgets.
Develop and conduct audit plans for city programs.

Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting.
Two years of experience in accounting procedures.

Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities, and skills may be considered.
