- Basic Life Support (BLS) required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required Must-Have:
- Completion of a basic cardiology class for nurses - Knowledge of cardiac-related medications and rhythm analysis - Experience with BIPAP patients - Flu shot is required
- Full-time position, 72 hours per two-week pay period- Coordinates total nursing care for patients of all ages utilizing the nursing process- Directs patient and family teaching- Provides leadership by collaborating with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel- Responsible for maintaining standards for professional nursing practice- Perform skills such as telemetry monitoring, dressing changes, vent/BIPAP management, and IV starts- Utilize equipment like Epic for charting, Omnicell for medication systems, Liko and EZ lifts, Alaris IV pumps, and Nova Statstrip blood glucose meters- 12-hour shifts with a day/night rotation, including weekends- Work environment:
23-bed Med/Surg/ICU unit- Nurse to patient ratio:
1:
1-3 in ICU depending on census and patient needs- Dress code:
Black scrubs- 1-week hospital and department orientation provided
