Job Title: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer

License: NDMIRT (willingness to obtain if not currently held)
Certifications: RDCS or RCS, Active BLS (American Heart Association required)
Must-Have: Pediatric experience
• Perform inpatient and outpatient transthoracic echocardiograms for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Conduct occasional stress echocardiograms and assist with transesophageal echocardiograms.
• Utilize equipment such as Philips Epiqs, Affinity series, IE33 series, GE E95, and Vivid E9.
• Work with reporting systems such as Epiq Cupid-reporting and Sectra Cardiology PACS.
• Rotate between two campuses, starting with clinic orientation to learn protocols and expectations, then move to the hospital for way-finding, a process that typically takes no longer than two weeks.
• Shift start times range from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM, with responsibility for both clinic and hospital settings.
• Call duty includes one weekend per month, along with one day every other week; will work alone after hours if called in.
• The department is part of a 500-bed hospital with 5 outpatient clinic rooms.
• Dress code includes grey scrubs or provided light blue scrubs.
• Ensure fingerprinting and background checks are sent to the correct licensing office to avoid delays.
