Primary Purpose

The Platform Architect is a technical leader who defines and communicates, at an architectural and design level, technical solutions aligned with business problems and systems/platform architecture.
The Platform Architect collaborates closely with the Service Delivery team, Architecture Community and Application/Product teams to ensure that business needs are understood, assessed, and translated into feasible, effective technological solutions.

The Platform Architect oversees the full knowledge of the ServiceNow architecture and technology as well as the documents the overall platform design, oversees platform health, provides guidance to technical governance and helps to analyze the impact of new requirements.
The role provides direction on keeping efforts aligned to ServiceNow implementation best practices and gives hands-on guidance with the detailed design and implementation phases of engagements through recommendations, points of view and documentation.

Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manages, specializes and provides advice to IT Services, the Business (HR, Supply Chain, Vendor Management) and other business partners across the ServiceNow platform and ITIL practices including ITSM and ITOM
• Is the trusted advisor to business stakeholders, product teams, and development teams, providing recommendations and influencing decision-making processes for IT solutions and business processes and capabilities across various business functions (HR, supply chain, vendor mgmt.).
  
• Is the expert of the ServiceNow platform, products, capabilities and ecosystem
• Designs and collaborates with Business Process Analysts and Developers in the creation of a High-Level Solution Design Documents
• Provides technical leadership and guidance to ensure that proposed and current architecture is implemented accurately
• Manages and maintains technical governance and policies are being adhered to, identifies and establishes where gaps exist and solve to remove the gaps
• Oversees and manages a Technical Implementation Roadmap.
  
• Collaborates with ITAM, other Service Delivery teams, business partners, IT Architecture, eCommerce and global teams
• Leads and partners in the planning, adoption and deployment of AI-related ServiceNow capabilities including GenAI, AIOps including Health Log Analytics and Predictive capabilities (ops, analytics).
  
• Guarantees that key ITIL practices and ServiceNow implementation focus on delivering real business value and outcomes
• Develops documentation of integration processes, solutions and design decisions for future reference and use by other engineers.
  
• Is the expert and has continuous knowledge about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in system integration, using this knowledge to enhance skills and contribute to the team's success

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; or equivalent professional experience
• Proved Experience as a Platform Architect or similar role
• 10+ more years of equivalent experience in relevant job or field of technology
• 5+ more years of experience in Agile teams and Product/Platform based operating model
• ServiceNow Architect certification(s), primarily Certified Technical Architect with Certified Implementation Specialty in ITSM as well as Certified Application Developer
• Strong written and verbal communication and storytelling skills
• Experience in an advanced role or technical capacity, providing technical leadership directly or indirectly
• Has intermediate experience on mid to large projects from start to finish and works independently on these efforts with minimal direction required
• Proven experience with ServiceNow development and architecture including data structure, CMDB, creating workflows, process automation, scripting, and Flow designer.
  
• Proven experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Cloud provisioning.
  
• Highly experienced with Problem-solving, including a with a focus on learning to deliver high-quality, reliable, and efficient solutions
• Strong leadership skills (Motivates others, handle/delegate responsibilities, communicates well, solves problems, etc.)

• Advanced training and or certifications in relevant field/s of study
• Strong experience with an AIOps platform (ServiceNow)
• Strong knowledge of IT Security, especially as it applies to ServiceNow in a complex IT environment
• Multiple appropriate ServiceNow certifications
• ITIL Certification Foundations v.4
• Up-to-date knowledge of latest IT developments
• Experience in retail or grocery preferred
