You will be contacted directly by the facility after applying to this position.ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Palliative Care, located in Greenville North Carolina, are seeking a fellowship trained Palliative Care physician to join their established Hospice and Palliative Care program.
The successful candidate will provide compassionate end of life care to patients and families at ECU Health Medical Center.
Applicants with Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency training are preferred.
New graduates and visa candidates are encouraged to apply.

• Employment by ECU Health Physicians• Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, a 974-bed academic medical center• Opportunity available due to program expansion• Established palliative care team inclusive of 2 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers• Provide consults in both inpatient and outpatient settings in person and via a telemedicine service• 16-bed Palliative Care Unit• Schedule includes a 4-day work week (8 am - 6 pm)• Weekend call 1:

• Complete patient admission and discharges• Perform daily clinical rounds on inpatient units• Develop and update patient plans of care• Provide clinical support and consultation for the Advanced Practice Provider team, palliative care unit, and field staff• Direct/participate in family conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings• Participate in agency quality improvement and patient/family experience activities• Teach and supervise fellows, residents, and medical students• Provide care in the outpatient palliative care clinic ECU Health Physicians includes an academic practice model (ECU employment) and a community practice model (health system employment).
There is shared leadership and shared services to support the overall group and to ensure alignment for clinical care, research, education and strategy.
