JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Ensuring new designs fulfill business targets, requirements and Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Feature targets, and communicate the status to the product streams.
* Front-loading work to ensure robust early-stage releases and stable late-stage releases
* Maintaining our brand reputation is crucial, and this position serves that mission by assuring compliance with all applicable vehicle regulations.
* Secure the development of modular systems and components to optimize part diversity.
* Integrating deliveries from others and secure quality readiness before release.
* Communicating active project deliveries during daily team leadership meetings.
* Creating or supporting team leaders in creating features for each Product Increment and you will be securing that our plans meet the product streams needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor"s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master"s degree preferred.
* 6-8+ years of experience in product development in the transportation industry, preferably in truck development.
* Knowledge of class 8 heavy duty trucks chassis structure, axle, suspension and vehicle dynamics.
* Basic CAD (CREO-AVP) experience.
* Knowledge of Steering and Suspension Systems is preferred.
* Previous product ownership experience is preferred.
* Project management experience is a merit, as are excellent written and verbal communication skills. Official certification is a plus.
* Agile frame-work experience and knowledge of DVP are strongly recommended
* Ability to take initiatives to optimize the systems, processes and methods/ Work with engineers and designers on site and development centers around the world.
