We are seeking an experienced Epic Optime/Anesthesia Analyst to join our healthcare IT team.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Epic electronic health record (EHR) system, specifically within the Optime and Anesthesia modules.
This role will focus on optimizing, maintaining, and supporting the surgical (Optime) and anesthesia applications, ensuring they align with clinical and operational workflows to improve patient care.
Candidates with direct experience in Surgical areas and/or current Epic Optime & Anesthesia certifications are highly preferred.Key Responsibilities:
System Configuration and Optimization:
Configure, build, and test Epic Optime/Anesthesia applications to meet clinical, operational, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with end-users and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure optimal system performance.Project Management:
Participate in project scoping, planning, and implementation for Optime/Anesthesia module upgrades and enhancements.
Lead or support cross-functional project teams to meet project timelines and deliverables.Troubleshooting and Support:
Provide level 2 and 3 technical support for the Optime and Anesthesia modules, troubleshooting issues and ensuring timely resolution of incidents.
Collaborate with Epic support and other internal IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.Quality Improvement:
Analyze workflows to identify and implement continuous improvements.
Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to understand and address system-related pain points in surgical and anesthesia workflows.Compliance and Best Practices:
Ensure that all changes to the Epic environment align with industry regulations and best practices, including HIPAA, Meaningful Use, and JCAHO requirements.Third-Party System Integration:
Assist with the implementation and support of third-party systems, ensuring seamless integration with other cross-functional applications used within the organization.On-Call Rotation:
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to provide after-hours support, ensuring the system remains functional and meets end-user needs.Additional Duties:
Perform other duties as assigned to support overall organizational objectives.
