JOB DETAILS:

RATIOS: Ratios 2:1 (can flex up to 3:1 in high census and nurse must be comfortable with this if needed). Average Daily Census 11-12
SHIFT: *36 Hours Can Be Offered
Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the Unit through the Holidays!
12 HOUR NIGHTS; 18:45 - 07:15
*RTO: 7 days MAX for Client Auto Offer*
*BLACK OUT DATES FOR HOLIDAY RTO: 12/20/2024 - 01/05/2025; HARD STOP, NO EXCEPTIONS*
Call Requirement: NONE
Float Requirement: YES
Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND
Travel rate is available for local travelers if their start date is on or before 12/13.
# RTO after booking is NOT allowed and is NOT allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a Cancel and DNR #

REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:

Minimum Years of Experience: 2 year Experience
Traveler Experience: Unit Will Accept 1st Time Travelers
Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
Skills: Vents, IV Start, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), ICP Monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Lumbar Drain experience
*Strong Neuro experience, MUST BE 2 YEARS, NO LESS*
Certs: ACLS, BCLS, NIH

PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:

Skills: Arterial line management

PATIENT DIAGNOSES:

We are a comprehensive stroke center.
Patient population: strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, Depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used: EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring)

SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS:

Comprehensive Stroke Center

SPECIAL EQUIPMENT:

EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM and Arctic Sun.

UNIT SYSTEMS:

Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR

24.0 Hours; 2 days or 2 nights

SCRUBS:

Navy blue & White.
