Senior Director of Pricing

Carrier Enterprise (CE) is a national distributor of residential and light commercial Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) products, parts and supplies through licensed HVAC/R dealers and contractors. CE operates primarily in the business-to-business environment where its products are sold through licensed HVAC dealers and HVAC contractors. These dealers are independent companies that sell, deliver and service Carrier, Bryant Payne products to residences and businesses in their respective markets. Summary:

The Senior Director of Pricing Strategy is responsible for leading the pricing strategy, analytics, and price execution for all of Carrier Enterprise. This individual will lead all aspects of the pricing function, from understanding customer value drivers to the development of scalable pricing models and metrics, and the deployment of enterprise tools, governance, and monitoring. He or shewill partner with various teams across the organization including Executive Leadership, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Operations and IT to ensure the execution of our pricing strategy.

The right candidate is a change agent with the ability to drive success - from ideation to execution. Success in this role includes both matrix leadership and individual contributions, ranging from thought-leadership and strategy discussions through to the ability to generate and articulate pricing analyses and execute specific process improvements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide thought-leadership on pricing and bring pricing best practices into the company
Design and manage sustainable pricing analyses in support of achieving company's strategic objectives
Evaluateour customer segments and product tiers to enable targeted price analytics to enhance gross margin
Quickly learn and master the unique quote/contract structure of the company's largest suppliers to optimize pricing the products we purchase
Develop and communicate key metrics for measuring improvements in pricing effectiveness and profit growth
Master utilization ofPricefxand leverage its capabilities in analytics, process efficiencies, and solution support
Manage vendor cost changes and proactively recommend pricing responses toprofitizecost changes
Develop roadmap to build our pricing processes and competencies to best-in-class
Lead staff of professionals and provide coaching and development to help grow their careers
Knowledge and Skills Required: Proven ability to develop and articulate impactful pricing analyses to drive profit improvement
Highly proficient in the operationalization of B2B pricing techniques
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to facilitate team and business meetings effectively
Excellent communication skills to interact with all levels of the organization including senior management
Ability to work across teams and manage priorities to accomplish multiple tasks
Effective planning, prioritizing, goal-setting skills
The ability to leverage data and analytics in defending pricing strategy decisions
Proven ability to work across a highly matrixed organization to drive execution

Requirements

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in statistics, finance, accounting or business
8+ years of experience in a pricing role, with at least three years as a pricing leader in a business of significant scale, with a demonstrated track record of identifying and realizing pricing opportunities
Willingness to learn, listen and teach
Strong written and verbal communication, and presentation skills
Working knowledge ofPricefxis a strong preference
Experience in the wholesale distribution sector strongly preferred.
