As a Geotechnical Project Manager at RK&K you will have the opportunity to work across disciplines to prepare plans and reports related to a variety of geotechnical projects for variety of clients in the transportation and municipal sectors; you will supervise field investigations and develop and review design computations; and prepare of geotechnical recommendations, contract plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates

Essential Function

Develop geotechnical portion of proposals and subsurface exploration programs,
Manage subsurface exploration programs
Manage, including review of and aiding in the preparation of bridge, roadway and retaining wall inventory reports and foundation recommendations,
Be the geotechnical lead for Design Builds
Review geotechnical analysis using approved software,
Post-bid retaining wall plans,
Foundations recommendations for other structures,
Innovative design concepts related to Geotechnical Engineering

Required Skills and Experience

Passion for client service and engineering
BS in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering
10+ years of Geotechnical Design Experience, NCDOT experience required
Experience in management of Geotechnical Task Assignments
Significant understanding of the following: gINT, LPile, APile, MSEW, FB-Pier, and GRLWEAP
Professional Engineer License is required
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Knowledge of Microstation

Preferred Skills and Experience

MS or advanced degree in Civil Engineering
