Staff Specialist within the Facilities Industrial Repair & Maintenance job family.
Completes tasks in resourceful and effective ways.
Complexity & Problem Solving:
Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.
Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.
Collaboration & Interaction:
Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
May be informal team leader.
Staff Specialist (Hourly)
1.
Troubleshoot facilities and production machinery2.
Install, maintain, repair or fabricate machinery3.
Use test equipment, such as vibration meters, tachometers, dial indicators, and support equipment, volt/ohn meter4.
Perform basic carpentry and plumbing when needed5.
Service and repair gear boxes6.
Complete paperwork required on work order requests7.
Change light fixtures in accordance with any regulatory requirements8.
Start up and shut down fire pump, valves, and sprinklers9.
Start up and shut down the boiler and keep records of condition and add chemicals, as needed10.
Start up and shut down air compressor system11.
Operate computers that monitor and control machine and facility equipment12.
Submit and maintain log of all purchase order requests13.
Primary contact for all facility alarm systems14.
Serves as on-call representative for maintenance emergencies when needed.15.
Serves as liaison for on-site contractor resource for all facilities work order requests.
