We are seeking an experienced seller-doer to join our Raleigh, NC (Cary) office with specialty areas of practice within environmental site assessment and remediation. Primary responsibilities are to help lead, manage, and grow the North Carolina and South Region environmental practice while generating new client and project-related opportunities. This is an opportunity to partner with our existing diverse, technical, and collaborative team to build upon and grow your technical practice.

Essential Responsibilities & Duties

Manage a variety of environmental projects with varying levels of complexity and size.
Support the development of new and existing clients and markets while cross-selling GEI's other core business areas (e. g. , geotechnical, water resources, coastal/waterfront, ecological, and permitting services).
Ensure project deliverables are accurate, on time, and within budget.
Generate and lead proposal efforts.
Manage and provide technical direction to staff as necessary to complete both office and field assignments.
Provide direction and assistance in recruiting, mentoring, and training staff both technically and professionally.

Minimum Qualifications

BS in Geology, Civil or Environmental Engineering, or equivalent degree; MS is preferred.
15+ years of progressive experience in environmental consulting or engineering.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills, and ability to work well alone or in team atmospheres.
Seller-doer with an entrepreneurial spirit and desire to build client relationships.
Professional registration (e. g. , PG, PE, etc) in area of expertise.
North Carolina RSM or ability to obtain, preferred
Experience in the Southeast region, preferred.
40-hour HAZWOPER training
Ability to travel to site visits, client meetings, and business development opportunities (to include overnight travel, as needed).
Valid Driver's License.
