Schedule:

3x12-hour shifts per week, 36 hours/week

Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of acute care (hospital) experience required.

Licensure and Certifications:
Current California RN License
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA-approved)
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:
Assess the physical and psychosocial condition of patients and formulate nursing diagnoses.
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and their families.
Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and modify them as necessary.
Provide education to patients and families regarding health conditions, treatments, and post-care needs.
Therapeutic Relationships:
Foster professional and therapeutic relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to promote health and recovery.
Clinical Competence:
Demonstrate proficiency in operating medical equipment, administering medications, and performing necessary nursing skills.
Maintain a safe environment for patients by adhering to established protocols and standards of care.
Advocacy and Ethics:
Act as an advocate for patients to ensure their rights, preferences, and needs are respected.
Promote culturally competent, ethical, and age-appropriate care.
Team Collaboration and Delegation:
Coordinate patient care activities with other healthcare professionals.
Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise team members to ensure quality care delivery.
Documentation and Reporting:
Document all nursing care accurately and in compliance with hospital policies.
Participate in patient hand-offs and communicate effectively across shifts.
Additional Responsibilities:

Investigate and address complaints from patients, physicians, or employees.
Perform other duties as assigned to support unit and organizational goals.
Skills and Physical Requirements:

Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.
Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, walking, and fine motor activities.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Education:

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN accepted).
