Fort Benton, Montana is home to IND HEMP's two processing facilities: one dedicated to the processing
of hemp oilseed and the other focused on industrial hemp fiber products. Each operation is purposebuilt to provide industrial hemp food, feed and fiber products across a variety of applications and
industries while providing our farmers with multiple revenue stream and contract production
opportunities.

Position title: Process Engineering Intern

Position location: Fort Benton, MT

Position type: Internship

Position Description:

The Process engineering Intern will assist the staff engineer in the process optimization, operational
safety, and product development of a new and leading industrial hemp company. IND HEMP operates
both the largest hemp seed processing facility and largest fiber decortication facility in the United Sates.
This position requires a candidate who is willing to roll-up their sleeves, quickly learn both sides of the
business (food and fiber) and thrives in the challenge of juggling multiple tasks throughout the work
week while sometimes meeting tight deadlines.

What you will do:
• Learn and understand existing workflows, and processes of industrial hemp grain and fiber
production.
• Collect and analyze data; document data collected, establish trends.
• Work closely with the engineer and operations management team to assist in production needs
as well as quality and process improvements.
• Document and develop operating manuals for equipment.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and oversight of industrial QC programs.
• Conduct risk assessments, assist in creating and managing facility's safety plans and implement
training modules to maintain compliance with applicable safety and quality standards and
eliminate safety concerns.
• Assist the engineer with key projects for process improvements and facility upgrades. Assist with
the project's budget, purchasing and construction oversight and implement projects with
production personnel until key metrics are achieved.

What you will bring:
• Current Junior or Senior standing pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical,
Industrial, or Mechanical)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Eager to learn and work with various departments in the company.
• Strong multitasking skills.
• Experience with computer programs such as Microsoft office suite preferred
