- Perform Nuclear Medicine procedures to obtain desired imaging results as per physician specifications.
• Ensure appropriate operation of all Nuclear Medicine Imaging and related equipment.
• Educate, position, and immobilize patients for procedures accurately.
• Coordinate Nuclear Medicine examinations to maintain timeliness, quality, and continuity of patient care.
• Follow provider imaging orders correctly and submit images and clinical information for interpretation.
• Evaluate image quality appropriately.
• Communicate openly and responsively with patients, coworkers, radiologists, and leadership.
• Utilize, charge, and maintain department supplies efficiently.
• Practice sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention policies.
• Handle multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines.
• Safely perform procedures, including patient transfers.
• Prepare and administer radioisotopes according to protocol.
• Follow Radiation Safety Measures (ALARA) to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Maintain records of radioisotope receipts, usage, storage, and disposal as per guidelines.
• Communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team.
• Function successfully in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment.
• Utilize and understand computers, including Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn relevant applications.
