Position: Lead Construction Estimator

Job Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

Project Estimation:
- Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and documentation to develop precise time, cost, material, and labor estimates.
- Monitor and assess cost-effectiveness of projects and services, tracking actual costs relative to estimates as projects evolve.
Site Visits:
- Conduct thorough site visits to gather data essential for accurate estimation and risk assessment.
Bid Preparation:
- Develop and submit competitive and profitable bids, aligning closely with project requirements and client expectations.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients for scope and detail alignment.
Negotiation:
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, presenting and negotiating with clients or subcontractors.
Cost Analysis:
- Conduct detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis, employing advanced estimating techniques and market insights.
Collaboration:
- Work with sales, construction, and procurement teams to ensure estimates are accurate and projects stay within budget.

Qualifications:

Experience:
- 5+ years of estimating experience, including at least 2 years in industrial construction estimating; proficiency in commercial construction estimating.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
Skills:
- Proficient in estimating software (ProEst, BuildingConnected, Bluebeam, or similar platforms).
- Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to interpret blueprints and specifications with high attention to detail.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Certifications:
- Professional certification (CPE from ASPE) advantageous but not required.

Work Schedule:
