DescriptionJob Summary: The Merchandiser Supervisor will train and motivate members of their team to achieve short and long term goals.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Lives and models BBG vision and BROWN VALUES in everything we do
Negotiates and gains consensus with people at different organizational levels to gain commitment to drive continuous improvements in the delivery and selling process
Demonstrates personal commitment in dealing with all internal and external customers

Assist Merchandiser Manager in delegating and assigning workloads in correct proportions.

Train and motivate the members of your team to assure achievement of short term goals or objectives.
Monitor employee performance conducting store audits.
Assist Merchandising Manager with counseling and discipline existing employees.
Consult with Human Resources on all major issues.

Address all customer problems and needs in prompt and professional manner
Report all customer related problems to Merchandising Manager.
Assist in maintaining records personnel, time and attendance, safety, etc.
Prepare and reconcile time and attendance for submission to payroll for assigned team members.
Build and maintain a good working relationship with customers in assigned area.
Provide input on performance of employee evaluations in a timely productive manner.

Execute all other assignments or responsibilities as defined by management.

Work Environment:

Frequently in market at various customer locations in grocery stores, convenience stores, gas stations, and dollar stores including inside walk-in cooler
Occasional work in office environment
Occasional work in distribution center warehouse with limited climate controls
Occasional riding in Class A and Class D commercial vehicles.

QualificationsQualifications:

Associates degree or equivalent experience required
Previous Supervisory experience a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to communicate clearly
Excellent communication/negotiation skill and a positive attitude
Team Player
Ability to transition verbal or written communication / directive to in-store execution
Sufficient math skills to perform calculations of margins and other sales related functions
Must have valid driver license with acceptable driving record

Physical Demands:

Prolonged sitting required
Prolonged standing
Finger and hand manipulation such as writing or typing required for long periods of time
Frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs.
Walking and ability to move throughout office, distribution facilities, and customer locations including climbing stairs required
Driving company or personal vehicle to travel between operating locations required
