Job Overview:

The Human Resources Director is responsible for developing strategies and managing HR resources across Oil-Dri's manufacturing and operational sites.
This role ensures effective labor planning and allocation, enhances productivity through HR-related metrics, and builds strong partnerships with Operations and Manufacturing leaders.
Additionally, the role leads key HR initiatives to support organizational goals.
Responsibilities:

Plays a crucial role in the strategic and tactical support for teammates and labor relations activities by collaborating with business and manufacturing leaders.
Provides leadership, coaching, and advice to leaders to ensure effective negotiations strategy and execution.
Develops and maintains positive relationships with union representatives and ensures compliance with the collective bargaining agreement.
Analyzes and reports key operational HR metrics such as turnover, retention, labor costs, and headcount.
Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and HR operational excellence.
Works across sites to understand areas of concern, define problems, collect data, verify facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Interprets data relating to employment laws and makes thoughtful recommendations.
Engages in complex discussions with management and teammates at all levels and makes thoughtful decisions.
Handles teammate relation issues to guide the development of site HRBPs in putting together corrective action plans.
Partners with manufacturing leadership to design/deploy HR staff to meet staffing, recruiting, engagement, and retention goals.
Aligns HR manufacturing to plan, coordinate, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys.
Administers human resource programs including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance management, and training and development.
Creates, analyzes, and reports on key operational metrics associated with manufacturing trends.
Monitors and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and recommends best practices.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in human resources and communicates changes to upper management.
Engages manufacturing HR teammates to identify areas for professional development, training, and certification activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD).
10+ years as HRBP in a manufacturing environment or Business HRBP in the manufacturing industry.
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certified professional.
Strong operations knowledge and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
Successfully led end-to-end process improvement projects.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
