Entry Level Staff Accountant - Hybrid role local to Boston, MA

This is a hybrid position that would require travel to our corporate office in Boston MA once a month.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reconciles bank accounts, prepaid expenses, fixed assets and other reconciliations as needed.

• Provides general ledger and reporting assistance to financial staff of subsidiary companies.

• Assists with analysis of financial data.

• Post daily lockbox deposits and ACH payments, research and reconcile un-posted payments.

• Ensures compliance with accounting policies and procedures and recommend accounting process improvements.

• Prepares weekly and monthly reports to management.

• Reconciles intercompany accounts and billings

• Ensures revenue recognition is consistent with PCG practice and policies.

• Coordinates project billings with project managers.

• Assists with international entities monthly accounting

• Assists in month and quarter end close processes

• Responsibilities may change as the department and PCG grow and as deemed necessary by management.

• Special projects as assigned

Required Skills

• Working and advanced knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles ('GAAP').

• Working and advanced knowledge of internal controls and accounting processes.

• Ability to use personal discretion and sound judgement while performing job functions.

• Ability to communicate and train employees on internal accounting policies and processes.

• Effective ability to prioritize and manage multiple activity streams.

• Ability to work effectively with, and communicate with all levels of management.

• Must have the ability to manage task load with frequent interruptions.

• Must maintain attention to detail at all times.

• Excellent organizational skills, verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, especially Excel.

• Possess discretion to work with confidential information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Required

• 0-5 years of accounting experience, Experience with Project accounting

• Local to Boston, MA where there would be travel to our corporate office once a month.

As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $47,400-$55,000. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
