The Volunteer Coordinator has overall responsibility for the Hospice's Volunteer Program; including for recruiting, training, retaining and supervising volunteers. How You Will Make a Difference

As the Volunteer Coordinator, you will:

Maintain documentation of ongoing efforts to recruit and retain volunteers
Provide training and orientation ensuring volunteers are aware of and in agreement with their duties and responsibilities
Assesses and maintains documentation of volunteers' skills and competencies
Participate as a member of the IDT, and coordinate with the other members of the IDT to ensure coordination and integration of volunteer services
Establish a public relations program to foster good working relations with the volunteers & the community
Assists with developing, planning, and executing of events pertaining to the volunteer program

Skills for Success:

Ability to lead, encourage, and work with others to reach team goals
Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, and an ability to establish effective relationships with patients' families, staff, and other physicians
Knowledgeable about hospice management and hospice volunteers preferred

Experience to Deliver on our Mission:

High School Graduate, Graduate of an accredited college/university is preferred.
Experience in recruitment & management of hospice volunteers preferred
Valid state driver's license and auto liability insurance
