About The Company:
The Wilbert Group is a precast concrete manufacturer and service provider that caters to the funeral service, building trades, and agricultural markets. They specialize in producing a variety of concrete products, including burial vaults, monuments, lawn crypts, columbarium niches, septic tanks, retaining walls, storm shelters, and agricultural precast items. Additionally, the company has a construction division responsible for installing lawn crypts, columbarium niches, and mausoleums in cemeteries nationwide. They also have a veteran memorial division that supports communities, civic organizations, and private cemeteries in designing, developing, and funding memorial projects. With manufacturing plants, warehouses, monument production facilities, a casket manufacturing plant, and nine crematories, The Wilbert Group covers a wide range of products and services. Their monument division focuses on creating granite memorials, markers, custom granite signage, and engraved brick pavers, and they also engage in wholesale monument sales.
Position Overview:
As a Mortuary Transport with The Wilbert Group, your role would involve answering calls from hospitals, funeral homes, and other sources. You would be responsible for commuting to the designated location, receiving human remains, and transporting them in a safe and dignified manner. Compassionate and respectful communication with funeral directors and family members is also part of the job, with training provided to fulfill these responsibilities.
Requirements
Essential Job Functions:
On-call shifts lasting 24 hours.
Receiving calls, gathering all necessary information, and following through with the required actions.
Handling human remains with care and dignity.
Residing in the Denver metro area.
Possessing a valid driver's license.
Passing a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
Passing a background check and drug test.
Ability to work on-call shifts lasting 24 hours.
Availability to work during night, weekend, and holiday hours.
Ability to follow directions, policies, and procedures with minimal supervision.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Must be organized.
Must maintain a professional appearance.
Capable of performing heavy lifting.
