Escort incoming hotel guests to rooms, assisting with luggage.
Inspect guest rooms to ensure they are in order and adequately stocked with supplies.
Explain room features, such as the operation of the television, telephone, and in-room movie system.
Provide information on available hotel services, facilities, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
Page guests in the lobby, dining room, and other parts of the property.
Deliver messages and run errands as needed.
Maintain the courtesy van, including washing, cleaning, and fueling.
Properly handle and raise/lower American, state, and brand flags.
Keep the lobby tidy, including managing trash, seating areas, front doors, and floors.
Maintain the front portico by picking up trash, cleaning oil leaks, shoveling snow, melting ice, and hosing off sidewalks.
Attend and participate in monthly front desk meetings.
Assist other departments as needed.
Occasionally deliver room service orders.
Pick up articles for laundry and valet service, and call taxis for guests.
Transport guests around the property or local area in the hotel van.
Keep records of calls for service.
Deliver packages, suitcases, and trunks.
Report to work for scheduled shifts on time and in uniform per company policy.
Comply with all company policies and procedures related to this position and its duties.
Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Strong leadership, management, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Results-driven with a strong ability to work well with and motivate various personality types.
Ability to maintain tact and diplomacy in all interactions.
Skilled in multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.

Education & Experience:

Minimum of High School education or GED.
Current Driver's License required.

Hours:

Due to the nature of the business, scheduling may vary and include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Requires significant walking or standing.

Environmental Conditions:

Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The job is considered "inside" if the worker spends approximately 75 percent or more of the time indoors.
