General Summary
Under limited supervision, but following established policies and procedures, as well as all applicable banking laws and regulations, including BSA and AML, is responsible for the daily supervision of the BSA Department and tactical oversight of all BSA-related functions.
This includes, monitoring, review and submission of all Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs), monitoring and enforcement of the Customer Identification Program (CIP), audit of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), and execution of OFAC and other comparison data base scans.
Also monitors and enforces mandated annual BSA and CIP on-line training.
Keeps Operations Manager - BSA/Loss Prevention informed and updated regarding all issues affecting his/her areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities and Duties
Coordinates and delegates the daily operations of his/her are of responsibility through subordinate staff.

Works closely with subordinate staff evaluating their performance, developing their abilities and improving accuracy, thoroughness, output, professionalism and interdepartmental cooperation.
Is responsible for selection, placement, counseling, termination and salary administration of all staff in his/her area of responsibility.
(10% - E)
Works with subordinate staff to review current policies, procedures, objectives and goals ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and statutes.
Monitors the daily activities of the BSA Department providing guidance, support and training as needed.
Responsible for completing, filing, and auditing all CTRs ensuring compliance with established regulations and policies.
(15% - E)
Reviews training procedures related to BSA, updates material as needed, and keeps employees informed of changes to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.
This includes monitoring and enforcing the completion of all BSA-related compliance training.
Audits the Bank Secrecy Officer on Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR).
(10 % - E)
Responsible for updating and enforcing the CIP.
All other special projects, reports, and duties as assigned.
(5% -M)
Required Knowledge and Skills
Must possess the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively perform the essential functions of this position.
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to work professionally with all levels of bank personnel and customers.
Must have a minimum three (3) years of banking related experience and be extremely knowledgeable of Bank Secrecy.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Must have the ability to lift and carry weights up to 25 lbs.
Manipulate and move weights in excess of 25 lbs.
with the assistance of dollies, hand trucks, and/or mechanical device.
Must have the ability to bend, pull, and push while manipulating files and boxes.
Must possess excellent 10 key ability, knowledge of personal computers (word processing skills a must), and hold a high school equivalency.
