What would I be doing?

The Front Desk & PBX Clerk is responsible for the duties, functions, and tasks of the front desk area to assure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• The Front Desk & PBX Clerk will adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.

• Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests.

• The Front Desk & PBX Clerk will date-stamp, sort, and rack incoming mail and messages.

• Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, shopping, dining, and travel directions.

• The Front Desk & PBX Clerk will keep record of room availability and guest's accounts, manually or by computer.

• Compute bill, collect payment, and make change for guests.

• The Front Desk & PBX Clerk may post charges to guest's bill.

• Must be willing to cross-train in other departments of Hotel Operations as instructed by management.

• This is a uniformed position, which requires that team members are in compliance with uniformed appearance standards while on duty.

• The Front Desk & PBX Clerk will make and confirm room reservations for guests.

• Assist in the group sales efforts as specified by PBX Supervisor or Front Desk Supervisor.

• The Front Desk & PBX Clerk will complete all necessary reports as assigned by your supervisor.

• Maintain lobby area and coffee bar.

• The Front Desk & PBX Clerk must be willing to work alone, supervised, non-supervised when needed.

What are we looking for?

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus.

• Excellent communication and guest service skills are a must.

• Previous guest service position

• Must be at least 18
