Basic Purpose:

Analyze the profitability of APD's major product lines and programs. Focus on developing reports and analytics to support financial operations and special requests, including cost/benefit analysis, compensation analysis, budget/forecast projections, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives. Assist the Financial Reporting team with the monthly close process through maintaining operational and statistical reports, reconciling, and analyzing results.

Responsibilities

Financial AnalysisSupport APD's major product lines and programs, including identifying, analyzing, and reporting of profitability and other trends to Management; and special requests.
Financial Reporting SupportIncludes developing and maintaining reports for the Financial Reporting team, reconciling and analyzing results.
Oversee development and coordinate reconciliation related to the automated
journal entry processing initiative.
Financial ProjectionsAssist in the development and preparation of APD financial projections and plans, including those for potential acquisitions.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification/Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance, with a Master's degree and/or CPA certification highly desirable.
Individual must have advanced proficiency with MS Excel and SQL.
AS400 query skills a plus.
Minimum of 8-10 years financial/insurance experience necessary.
Individual must be self-directing, exercise judgment in planning and organizing and must have advanced skills in acquiring data and analyzing results.
Knowledge of insurance industry, GAAP and statutory accounting and strong interpersonal skills are required.

Protective's targeted salary range for this position is $73,500 to $113,000. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective's total compensation package for employees.

This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance.
