This role is to perform application penetration tests on existing & new web applications.
Responsibilities:
Perform high quality web application pen tests while meeting project deadlines.
Validate security tool output, find vulnerabilities the tools can't, and create proof of concepts of various vulnerabilities to demonstrate them to stakeholders.
Research new tools and techniques to constantly improve the pen test process.
Generate high quality reports and be able to present them to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Work with application developers to help them understand various vulnerabilities, the impact of the vulnerabilities, and high-level recommendations on how to fix the vulnerability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related technical field; or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of experience in penetration testing.
Good understanding of web applications, the pen test process, and pen testing tools.
Fundamental understanding of security knowledge around native applications, web applications, distributed and database systems. (Understanding of Web Services is a plus.)
Deep and broad understanding of security vulnerabilities and attacks.
Ability to understand and communicate what the vulnerability is, its impact on the organization, and the recommended fix.
High enthusiasm, integrity, ingenuity, results-orientation, self-motivation, and resourcefulness in a fast-paced competitive environment.
Ability to work within a global organization.
