Production Supervisor

Your role:

As Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing day-to-day operations for the entire facility ensuring team members are following policies and procedures related to employee safety and food/feed Safety.

Your responsibilities:

&bull: Oversee day-to-day operations; insuring team members are following policies and procedures related to employee safety and food/feed safety

&bull: Identify operational discrepancies and provide focused solutions with a timeline for corrective action

&bull: Provide troubleshooting assistance and communication to the larger group during downtime/adverse events

&bull: Assist with training team members and ensuring the requisite documentation is in place

&bull: Work with the milling and production teams to continuously improve the production process, improve safety, reduce production costs, and enhance product quality

&bull: Partners with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory experts to implement the most effective approach for complying with corporate safety policies and procedures

&bull: Monitors production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications while providing recommendations for continuous improvements

&bull: Participate and lead process improvement initiatives including Centerlining, Preventative Maintenance, Pristine, 5S and ELEMEDS (Every Load, Every Mill, Every Day Safely)

&bull: Partners with local plant management to develop approaches for meeting/tracking efficiency standards (scorecard and metrics control, total cost of maintenance, monthly review of compliance audits, etc.)

&bull: Develops planning for future production workforce needs and participates in selection of employees

&bull: Take counts, correct discrepancies, and provide corrective actions/investigations to solve for any inventory count outside of variance range in the digital Vs physical count

&bull: Responsible for workforce engagement, recognition as well as development and coaching to hourly members

Essential skills and experience:

&bull: High school diploma/GED equivalent with 1 year of production experience

&bull: Minimum of 1 years' experience having leadership responsibilities in an industrial environment (milling, agricultural, food production, or equivalent)

&bull: Demonstrated understanding of safety hazards and protocols

Good to have:

&bull: Knowledge of maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting systems

&bull: Training in LEAN, Six Sigma, or other manufacturing and warehousing optimization processes

&bull: Reliability centered maintenance training around equipment best practices

&bull: Understanding of computerized maintenance management systems

&bull: Bachelor's degree or higher

Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):

&bull: Ability to perform work at a computer and other administrative/managerial tasks

&bull: Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas (i.e. safety glasses, protective footwear, hard hat, hearing protection and, at times, a respirator or a harness)

&bull: Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidays

&bull: Ability to work a machine-paced continuous process that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with conditions which include:

&bull: Hot/Cold temperatures (inclement weather)

&bull: Indoor/Outdoor environment

&bull: Dusty environment(to include Wheat/Gluten allergens)

&bull: Noisy environment

&bull: Frequent moving/vibration/ or other motion of equipment/processes

&bull: Elevated Places

&bull: Ability to perform work safely which may require:

&bull: Frequently standing, walking, rotating,bending/stooping, twisting, crouching, kneeling, balancing and reachingor lifting at varying heights and levels

&bull: Frequentlyclimbing stairs and/or ladders

&bull: Occasionally lifting, shovelingand/or carrying

&bull: Occasionally pushing and/or pulling

&bull: Working in confined or elevated places

Other considerations:

&bull: Must be able to read, interpret instruction and technology and communicate effectively in English

&bull: Must be willing to work alongside your team including long days (days, evenings, and nights) as well as weekends or holiday work

&bull: Must be authorized to work in the Unites states without sponsorship now and in the future

&bull: Except where prohibited by law, all offers of employment are conditioned upon successfully passing a drug test and pre-employment background check

Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
