Custom Mold & Design, a Velosity Company is hiring a Tool Maker on 2nd shift to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN. The Tool Maker is responsible for building, repairing, and altering molds and fixtures of extremely complex and precise nature.

This position will report to the Production Manager, and has no direct reports.

Schedule:
Shift start between 4:
30 a.m. - 8:
00 a.m. (flexible) Get out early on Fridays!

Qualifications:

2 years mold making experience in a tool shop environment, preferred
2 years technical or trade school degree with an emphasis on tool making or equivalent experience, preferred
Understanding of blue print reading and mold and/or component manufacturing
Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States, required

Essential Duties:

Build and repair molds to customer specifications.
Troubleshoot problems with a mold and arrive with an action plan to correct the problem in a reasonable amount of time.
Schedule and manage work in other departments as required.
Operate all necessary equipment in a safe manner with little or no supervision.
Wear safety equipment that is relevant to the position, job being performed or equipment being used.
Work cooperatively with all employees.
Take responsibility to see jobs are completed when due.
Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Work Conditions & Physical Demands:

This is a non-smoking, professional tool shop with normal lighting, climate control. The shop environment may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in a tool making and/or molding shop.
