General job duties. Types of procedures required.
Pre (admission), Post (discharge), PACU RN Care.
RN Sedation and OR circulating if candidate has past experience only.
Endoscopy (EGD/Colonoscopy), General, GYN, Podiatry, Orthopedic, Urology, and Ophthalmology
Responsible for the coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other interventions. Requires excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize/triage the needs of the patients and the practice. Occasionally works in emergent patient care situations requiring critical thinking and prompt assessment skills. Will perform age related patient assessment and intervention as well as scheduling tests and interventions per provider order.

Responsible for utilizing the professional nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to patients across age continuum in an ambulatory setting. Cares for patients in all phases of specific states including assessment, disease maintenance, treatment, and follow-up as patients move in both inpatient and outpatient setting.

Responsible for utilizing the professional nursing process to provide individualized nursing care to patients across age continuum in an ambulatory setting. Must have working knowledge of electronic medical records. Abides by respective healthcare agency's policies. Provides a quality of service that customers describe as excellent.

Must be skilled in assessment and triage of patients with various conditions and devices both in person and in using the appropriate mode of electronic communication. Collaborates with providers and delivers appropriate assistance during surgical and non-surgical procedures.

Equipment utilized in the unit/dept.
Epic Onechart charting and Omnicell for medications.

Required skills and minimum years of experience.
Past Pre (admission), Post (discharge), PACU experience. Minimum of 2 years experience.

Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required.
BLS, ACLS, and MN RN with Minnesota background check with fingerprinting required for Detroit Lakes Same Day Surgery Center.

Shift or schedule requirements.
Day shift, hours of operation 6am-6pm. Daily shift averages 6-10 hours. They will always have another RN onsite with them. No weekends, no nights, no call, no holidays.

Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept.
11 pre/post op bays. 1 Endoscopy Suite, and 2 ORs.

Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only)
Pre/Post usually 1:1 or 1:2. PACU, Endoscopy, OR 1:1.

Dress Code:
Surgery Center scrubs provided.
