Cub Blaine North is looking for dedicated individuals to fill part time positions in bakery!

As a team member at Cub, you will:

Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store.
Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store.
Answer the department telephone promptly when called upon, and provides friendly, helpful service to customers who call.

This position requires weekend availability.

Job Requirements:

The position requires on-going customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service.
This position requires on going social skills/verbal interaction, register/scanner operation, reading, light lifting / carrying to 50 pounds and standing.
Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
Position functions and work hours may vary according to business needs.
Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.
Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Must be 16 years of age and older.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

1. Assist customers
• Greet customers
• Answer customer questions; provides product sampling and suggestive selling
• Bring customers to location of item, when needed
• Assists with product replacement and price checks
• Answer bakery telephone calls promptly
• Records cake orders accurately and completely
• Assist at check out lanes as needed
• Perform price checks check out lanes

Functional Requirements

Frequent: Physical - lifting up to 50 lbs. , equipment operation (scanner, register, scale, check approval machine, coupon machine, intercom), reaching, standing, turning;

Mental - judgment/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, memorization, reading, writing, math

Occasional: Physical - lifting over 50 lbs. , equipment operation (calculator) squatting,

stooping/bending, walking

2. Prepare and wrap bakery product
• Follow safe food handling and preparation processes
• Apply icing, glazes, or drizzles as required
• Prepare cakes; applies decoration as requested
• Slice and bag bread and buns
• Transfer product to trays or containers
• Shrink wrap when appropriate
• Accurately labels and prices all wrapped product

Functional Requirements

Frequent: Physical - lifting to 50 lbs. , carrying up to 50 lbs. , pushing/pulling up to 20 force

pounds, equipment operation (shrink wrap, label machine, bread slicer,

knives), turning, bending, repetitive motions (twisting and clipping bags,

labeling, wrapping, shrink wrapped items), reaching, standing

Mental - judgment/decision making, memorization, math, reading, basic computer skills

Environmental - extended exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces

Occasional: Physical - climbing ladders

3. Stock, rotate and face bakery product
• Pull stales and writes down product, quantity and retail
• Prepare sales area by cleaning cases and bins
• Rotate and faces product
• Stock shelves, bins and cases
• Check price and verify sign and product price

Frequent: Physical - lifting up to 50 lbs. , carrying up to 50 lbs. , pushing/pulling over 50 force pounds, equipment operation (bakery rack), walking, reaching

Mental - judgment/decision making, reading, memorization

Occasional: Physical - equipment operation (shopping cart, cleaning utensils), stooping/bending,

Mental - writing, math

4. Assist with department merchandising as directed
• Build and maintains department displays
• Decorate the department
• Assist with seasonal resets
• Maintain cross-merchandised product throughout the store
• Assist in maintaining proper signage

Functional Requirements

Frequent: Physical - lifting up to 50 lbs. , carrying up to 50 lbs. , pushing/pulling over 50 force pounds, equipment operation (bakery rack), walking, reaching

Mental - judgment/decision making, reading, memorization

Environmental - extended exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces

Occasional: Physical - equipment operation (shopping cart, cleaning utensils), stooping/bending,

Mental - writing, math

5. Perform clean up of department
• Follow all safety, sanitation and food handling regulations
• Assist with breaking down and cleaning equipment
• Assist in cleaning department and maintains conditions in the back room
• Assist with department shop back functions
• Clean shelves, racking and cases as needed
• Uses personal protective devices (splash goggles, chemical resistant gloves) as required

6. Follows all store and department policies and procedures

7. Performs other duties as assigned or delegated

Note: *Within each essential functional requirement, "Frequent" represents approximately 15% of

the work shift or at least ten repetitions per work shift. "Occasional" represents approximately less than 15% of the work shift or fewer than 10 repetitions per work shift
