About the Unit
This is a Neurological Medical Surgical Unit established in March 2018, specializing in post-operative care for patients undergoing spine and orthopedic surgeries, as well as extended recovery for general out-patient surgical procedures. The patient population includes individuals with mental status changes, seizures, GI bleed, pneumonia, stroke, polydrug abuse, ETOH abuse, psychiatric conditions, palliative care, hospice, multiple sclerosis, isolation, and other complex family issues. The unit also has telemetry beds to monitor patients with suspected cardiac involvement.
