McLaren Northern Michigan is recruiting an experienced Clinical Psychologist in Petoskey, Michigan for an exciting new position.
This position will be a combination of clinical services and academic teaching within McLaren Northern Family Medicine Rural Track residency.
As a core faculty member this position will be involved in residency guidance and teaching.
A clinical appointment at Michigan State University Colleges of Human and Osteopathic Medicine will be offered.
This is a full-time opportunity with 60% clinical responsibilities and 40% academics.
There are no call coverage needs.
The position will include:
Development and implementation of Behavioral Medicine curriculum for Family Medicine Residency following Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements.
Provision of oversight for well-being programming for Graduate Medical Education
Performance of clinical duties which could include Consultation Liaison inpatient, Integrative Primary Care, Integrative Cancer Care or Psychotherapy depending on site need.
Assistance to resident physicians for scholarly inquiry projects (research and/or quality Improvement).
Participation in system wide Academic Behavioral Health activities, including teaching for Clinical Health Psychology Post Doctoral Fellowship and/or Internship.
Two years experience in teaching in an ACGME residency program and completion of a Health Psychology post-doctoral fellowship are preferred.
The selected candidate will require a license to practice Psychology in the state of Michigan.
