We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Exterior Design Engineer to join our Exterior Design Engineering 1 Team in Farmington Hills, MI.A Day in the Life:

Overall design responsibility for lamps, wipers/washer system, mirrors, horn, and cowl cover.
Create initial design concepts based on program changes.
Secure the necessary budget for responsible parts.
Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes and propose countermeasures.
Collaborate with suppliers to meet quality, timing, and cost requirements.

Who We're Looking for:

Ability to gather data, distill key points and propose solutions.
Self-motivated, self-driven, and detail-oriented problem-solver.
Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
Experience in automotive exterior lamps, wipers, and mirrors is a strong plus.
A valid driver's license is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

5 or more years of directly related professional-level engineering experience.

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Physical Requirements:

Travel:

Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
Up to 10-20% of domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Overtime:

Willingness to work overtime as necessary to complete the job.
