Certifications: BLS (AHA) (pending acceptable, must confirm willingness to obtain)
Must-Have:
• Willingness to work with a variety of staff (RN, LPN, Techs, etc.)
• 1 year of Med/Surg experience required
• Proof of Flu vaccination upon submission or medical exemption request within 48 hours of contract signing
• Contracts available for 36 or 48-hour workweeks
• Must be available for the entire week of orientation
• May float to other Med/Surg units approximately once per week
• Required to work every other weekend
• Unlikely to approve block scheduling; holidays usually required
• Staff will encounter a mix of medical and surgical patients, including specialties in ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, GI, urology, hysterectomies, mastectomies
• Staffing Ratio: 1:5-6 for nights; may adjust to 1:8 with LPN support
• Work in a unit with a variety of staff including RNs, LPNs, and Techs
• Completion of modules during orientation (non-billable, 8 hours annually)
• Background issues should be disclosed prior to contract signing
• Return staff policy requires a gap of 6 months before reapplying
