Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Other Responsibilities will include the following:
Schedule work for machines.
Track parts to make sure they are completed in a timely manner.
Review prints to decide which parts will be made in house and which will be made outside.
Check prints prior to release for manufacturing.
Suggest changes to parts to reduce cost or improve design or improve the ease of assembly.
Assist machinists with their duties.
Provide performance appraisals, interview new hires, and overall supervision in the Machine Department.
Specify specs of machinery to be purchased.
Provide cost to complete estimates bi-weekly.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years related experience; expert knowledge of CNC Machining. Ability to distribute workload with knowledge in managing project budgets and Client requirements. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent organizational skills with strong teamwork and leadership skills. Must possess strong written and communication skills. Nights 4PM- 2:30am
