• Bio-Separations Chemist III
• to join our growing team in Ann Arbor, MI.
• Responsibilities
•
+ Design, execute and analyze large molecule separation (bioseparation) techniques such as HPLC (SEC, RP, AIEX, CIEX), IC, Protein Simple Maurice cIEF, CE-SDS.
+ Perform basic molecular biology techniques such as UV-Vis, Enzymatic Assays, BCA, Bradford, ELISA, Western Blots, SDS-PAGE.
+ Perform method development to meet intent of customer needs.
+ Write reports and proper documentation of the work in cGMP setting
+ Carry out technical transfer of the developed method to other groups within the organization
+ Execute projects with minimal supervision
+ Have the ability to analyze data from the qualitative to the rigorously statistical and defend conclusions based on data
+ Have the ability to demonstrate strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical abilities
+ Follow all safety requirements including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment
+ Generate supporting laboratory documentation
+ Ensure compliance with government rules and regulations (FDA, cGMP, DEA, ICH, OSHA, etc. )
+ Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Skills / Qualifications
•
+ BS, MS, or Ph. D. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Structural Biology, or Cellular Molecular Biology
+ Experience working in a cGMP laboratory
+ Hands on experience developing bioseparations methods such as HPLC, IC, CE, cIEF
+ Hands on experience with large molecules such as peptides, proteins, AAV or lentivirus
+ Effective scientific writer (experience with report writing)
+ Effective oral presenter (experience with scientific presentations)
+ Effective time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
+ Must be a flexible, adaptable, self-driven team player with a positive attitude
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
