Medical Technologist | MLT Job Summary:
Provides testing on patient samples, providing physician
s with quality results using a variety of clinical laboratory equipment. Has total understanding of patient safety and laboratory techniques necessary to guarantee complete patient safety and anonymity.
Medical Technologist | MLT Essential Responsibilities:
Maintains and operates Clinical Lab equipment according to manufacturer and laboratory policy. Interprets results and provides appropriate feedback when results are abnormal or per special request.
Accurately identifies patient samples and accessions them into Laboratory Information System using correct account numbers and test alpha codes.
Uses and disposes of hazardous and bio hazardous materials as stated in laboratory policies and State and Federal Guidelines.
Runs controls and understands the importance of controls to verify the quality of testing before releasing results.
Provides phlebotomy services to patients during shift as needed.
Medical Technologist | MLT Education Qualifications:

ASCP Medical Technologist | MLT or AMT Medical Technologist Required.
Medical Technologist | MLT Experience Requirements:

5 years of experience in a hospital lab preferred.
