Opportunity Specifics:

Contract Type: Contract to Permanent Placement

Setting: Concierge Family Medicine

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: 40-hour weeks (1/2 day Friday)

Volume: Low-Volume (mix of scheduled and walk-in patients)

No Weekends or Call

Position Overview

As a

Medical Assistant , you will play a vital role in both direct patient care and supporting the physician. We are seeking a candidate who is

teamwork-oriented , skilled at

multitasking , flexible, and possesses strong interpersonal skills to excel in our professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform

phlebotomy

and collect patient specimens.

Take patient histories and vital signs.

Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.

Administer injections, apply dressings, and perform EKGs.

Assist the physician with minor surgeries and physical exams.

Triage patients by phone and manage referrals and prior authorizations.

Sterilize and prepare supplies and equipment for treatments.

Support the team with administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

Education : High school diploma or GED from a recognized

Medical Assistant training program .

Experience : At least 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (two years of experience equals one year of schooling).

Certifications :

Registered Medical Assistant certification required.

Phlebotomy certification

required.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of primary medical practice and patient care.

Familiarity with examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures.

Experience with medical equipment and instruments used in patient care.

Proficiency with electronic health records ( Athena

preferred).

Ability to assist with a variety of treatments and medications as directed.
