Job Purpose:
This position performs quality control functions to assure compliance with project and Owner requirements under general supervision. Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and work is reviewed by general supervision.
Essential Job Functions:
Perform Fab Shop and field installation inspections of equipment and materials per the Project Specific Quality Plan, the Inspection Test Plan, Inspection Test Procedures and applicable Inspection Report forms or checklists.
Maintain compliance with established project, corporate and customer quality assurance and control requirements.
Review engineering drawings, suggest changes and track quality progress based on scope of work document.
Updates Quality Control files.
Assist in the processing of installation procedures.
Notifies supervisors of any discrepancies found between work completed and material installed and Owner quality requirements.
Attend training sessions, seminars, and appropriate educational classes as required by department.
Works on and assists in making changes on non-conformance reports.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Have excellent written and oral communications applicable to standards set by organization.
Possess current knowledge of Engineering, Business Administration, quality control and organizational practices.
Experience in piping systems walk downs, P&ID's, weld mapping, welder's qualifications, ISO's, structural drawings, understanding of specs, procedures, codes, and standards.
Proficient in documentation for tracking piping and structural steel welding.
Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications.

The employee must be able to lift and move up to forty (40) pounds, stand for long periods of time, extended periods of kneeling and or bending, ascending, or descending ladders or stairs, and repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places, extreme cold or heat and high noise levels. Employee will work in an environment where there is risk that they will be exposed to toxic, caustic and/or hazardous chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles. Workers are required to wear personal protective equipment while on the job. The work generally requires routine walking, sitting, standing, squatting, climbing, stooping, bending, twisting, reaching, and carrying items. An individual will be required to work most hours in an industrial environment and will need to be able to quickly respond to a change in work demands.

Qualifications :
Must possess a current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certificate per AWS QC1.
Minimum of four (4) years of related mechanical field experience.
Valid driver's license and the ability to be covered by Worley's auto insurer.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
