This position performs quality control functions to assure compliance with project and Owner requirements under general supervision.
Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and work is reviewed by general supervision.Essential Job Functions:
• Perform Fab Shop and field installation inspections of equipment and materials per the Project Specific Quality Plan, the Inspection Test Plan, Inspection Test Procedures and applicable Inspection Report forms or checklists.• Maintain compliance with established project, corporate and customer quality assurance and control requirements.• Review engineering drawings, suggest changes and track quality progress based on scope of work document.• Updates Quality Control files.• Assist in the processing of installation procedures.• Notifies supervisors of any discrepancies found between work completed and material installed and Owner quality requirements.• Attend training sessions, seminars, and appropriate educational classes as required by department.• Works on and assists in making changes on non-conformance reports.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Have excellent written and oral communications applicable to standards set by organization.• Possess current knowledge of Engineering, Business Administration, quality control and organizational practices.
• Experience in piping systems walk downs, P&ID's, weld mapping, welder's qualifications, ISO's, structural drawings, understanding of specs, procedures, codes, and standards.• Proficient in documentation for tracking piping and structural steel welding.
• Computer skills commensurate with program and job
