Overview
Our client is a global planning, design, and commissioning services firm in the airport baggage handling systems space.
As they are continuing to expand due to their several advanced solutions for North American airports, they are seeking multiple experienced Mechanical Design Engineers with experience with Material Handling System experience (ideally airport).
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for leading the equipment selection, layouts and integration into total project systems required for material handling equipment and processes.
This includes reviewing or preparing data and running specialty programs.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will lead the development of the mechanical requirements of the project phases, including conceptual, preliminary, final and operational support.
This also includes coordinating with other discipline's design team members to accomplish project tasks.
In addition, the Mechanical Design Engineer will collaborate with Project Engineers to ensure design aligns with client specifications.
What they are seeking:
Bachelor's degree strong preferred with at least 3+ years experience designing mechanical system layouts.
Hands-on design experience with 3D modeling tools such as Revit or similar tools.
Strongly prefer experience with Baggage Handling System experience or other MHE experience (Parcel, Postal, Intralogistics applications)
Must be able and willing to travel to job sites, as required up to 20% of the time.
