HVAC/R Technician

Job Summary:In this role, with limited supervision, you will perform routine repairs and maintenance on facilities and facility-related equipment. Work will include, but not be limited to: HVAC, Refrigeration, BMS, Medical Gases, DDC, Pneumatics, Compressors and PLC circuitry.

Perform routine, periodic, and special inspections to assess equipment health and safety
Interpret blueprints and equipment manuals
Perform and document routine maintenance actions
Perform and document assigned work order requests
Work with outside vendors on specific needs or obligations
Maintain records for the equipment we have
Maintain and troubleshoot refrigeration equipment
Respond to faults, alarms or other emergencies throughout the hospital system as directed
Understand the BMS (building management system) by Siemens to make the necessary adjustments for corrections, maintenance, troubleshooting or shutdowns as needed
Motor replacements, bearing replacements, equipment replacement.
Work, run and troubleshoot the chiller plant
Work, run and troubleshoot air handlers
Work, run and troubleshoot humidification units for air handlers
Perform other duties as needed
Schedule includes working every sixth weekend

Education and experience:

5+ years in the mechanical field (commercial/industrial preferred)
State of Maine Driver's License with clean driving record (required)
Familiar with a work order system (TMS preferred)
EPA 608 Universal Certification (required)
Familiar with the BMS (Siemens preferred)
ASSE 6040 certified is a plus
