Duties

This position will supervise the work of staff engaged in preparing budget projections, spending plans, processing billing/payments, performing audits, and other budget formulation and execution related duties.

The duties and responsibilities of this position include:

* Developing and recommending milestones, objectives, and plans to achieve the agency's long and short-range priorities.

* Analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of the agency in meeting established goals, objectives and performance measures in relation to budgetary requirements.

* Preparing a variety of regular and special reports and presentation materials covering the status of funds, expenses, and obligations.

* Assuring compliance with departmental/ division procedures and quality assurance reviews.

* Providing direction and guidance to a staff of auditors and administrative personnel in conducting budget related duties.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience requirement as noted below.

GS-14 Specialized Experience: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-13 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing (3) of the (4) duties listed below:

* Performing budget development, formulation, and execution functions for a program/organization.

* Analyzing the effectiveness of a program/organization in meeting established goals and objectives, and performance measures in relation to budgetary requirements.

* Collaborating in the preparation of reports and presentation materials covering the status of funds, expenses, and obligations.

* Mentoring staff on work and administrative matters.
